Ambassador Elizabeth H. Richard joined Chief Justice Jean Fahed, General Prosecutor Samir Hammoud, and a visiting delegation from Northeastern University —from Boston, Massachusetts — at the Justice Palace to launch a two-day seminar on justice. The Department of State’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) is hosting a seminar discussing alternatives to incarceration, and other ways to reduce case processing times and prison overcrowding.
The two-day seminar is an opportunity to discuss alternatives to incarceration with a larger group of Lebanese judges, lawyers, prosecutors, and academics.
