The Consular Section at U.S. Embassy Beirut has suspended non-emergency visa operations in the interest of public health safety during the COVID-19 pandemic. American Citizen Services will remain available for U.S. citizen emergency appointments.
All visa appointments have been suspended until further notice. Immigrant visa appointments will be rescheduled at a later date. In the meantime, please direct any specific immigrant visa inquiries to the Beirut, Consular IV MailBox at BeirutIV@state.gov.
Persons whose nonimmigrant visa appointments have been cancelled may reschedule at a later date. Please visit www.ustraveldocs.com/lb regularly for more information on the availability of nonimmigrant visa services in Lebanon. There is no fee to change an appointment and visa application fees are valid for one year. Applicants who need to travel for emergency reasons may request expedited appointments via their ustraveldocs.com/lb profile for expedite requests. All emergency appointment requests must include documentation to support the reason for urgent travel and proof of flight bookings through to the United States. The Consular Section will consider requests for emergency appointments on a case-by-case basis.
