Message to U.S. Citizens: U.S. Embassy Beirut, Lebanon (November 17, 2022)
Location: Lebanon
Subject: Reminder About Updating Travel Documents for Upcoming Travel Season
With the winter travel season approaching, the U.S. Embassy in Beirut reminds U.S. citizens to make sure that their passports are still valid for travel. Some countries require a minimum of six months validity to allow entry, so please renew soon if your passport’s validity is less. Some applicants may be eligible to renew by mail. Information on how to renew American passports can be found at our American Citizen Services website.
We also remind citizens to enroll in the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) to receive important safety and security messages and make it easier for us to assist you in an emergency.
