Reminder About Updating Travel Documents for Upcoming Summer Travel Season
5 MINUTE READ
April 13, 2023

With the summer travel season approaching, U.S. Embassy Beirut reminds U.S. citizens to make sure that their passports are still valid for travel. Some countries require a minimum of six months validity to allow entry, so please renew soon if your passport’s validity is less. Some applicants may be eligible to renew by mail. Information on how to renew American passports can be found at our American Citizen Services website.

We also remind citizens to enroll in the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) to receive important safety and security messages and make it easier for us to assist you in an emergency. Information on travel to and around Lebanon can be found on the State Department’s Lebanon Travel Advisory page.
