Partnership with the Lebanese people aimed at development of the country, reduction of poverty, and improvement in the provision of public services continues year after year to be an important priority for the United States.

The United Nations Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator, Mr. Philippe Lazzarini today released the latest report of donor nation contributions to development and humanitarian work in Lebanon.  In 2018 so far, the U.S. has invested nearly half a billion dollars in critical water and sanitation infrastructure, creating opportunities for Lebanese citizens, agriculture, and businesses, assisting host communities and meeting the basic needs of refugees, improving schools and providing scholarships for students, and building the capacity of Lebanese municipalities.
