Message for U.S. Citizens: Upcoming Lufthansa Flight From Beirut May 31, 2020

Location:  Lebanon

Event:   The Beirut office of Lufthansa Airlines has announced a special flight from Beirut to the United States via Frankfurt on Sunday, May 31, 2020 departing Beirut at 15:35 PM and arriving at Frankfurt at 18:50 PM local time.  From Frankfurt passengers would have options to connect to flights to Washington (IAD), Chicago (ORD), or New York (EWR Newark).

Lufthansa notes that all connecting flights to the United States would depart the following day, thus requiring travelers to remain overnight in the airport transit lounge.

According to Lufthansa, economy ticket prices start at USD 1,300.  Business class is available upon request.

All passengers are required to wear face masks on board; please bring your own.  Luggage will be checked through to the final destination.

U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, and their immediate families who are returning home are permitted to enter the United States from Germany.  All other passengers are advised to review details regarding current U.S. travel restrictions at www.dhs.gov.  Lufthansa reminds passengers that it is their responsibility to comply with all visa regulations and enforced travel restrictions.
