The Lebanese government has extended the present 24-hour curfew to combat the spread of COVID-19 until February 8. Details of the lockdown, including the limited exceptions for travel during the lockdown, may be found here.
During the lockdown period, the U.S. Embassy will continue to suspend routine consular operations but remain open for emergency services. Appointments for routine services for American citizens will be rescheduled when the lockdown has ended. U.S. citizens with emergency situations may contact BeirutACS@state.gov to request an appointment. The U.S. Embassy will send an updated message when routine consular operations resume and post this information on the Embassy website.
Routine visa services remain suspended. More information on visa services is available at www.ustraveldocs.com.
