Today U.S. Embassy Charge d’Affaires ad interim Ambassador Richard H. Jones with British Ambassador Designate Hugo Shorter visited the Internal Security Forces Academy in Aramoun.  They met with the Head of the ISF Academy, General Ahmad Hajjar, to discuss plans for the use of the academy and strategic planning for the training and development of the ISF.

CDA Jones and Ambassador Shorter toured the tactical village and the forensics building constructed with funds from the U.S. State Department’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL).

The $11 million project is part of the U.S. Government’s ongoing partnership with the ISF, through which INL has provided over $160 million in training, equipment and assistance since 2008.
