The Department of State’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) at the Embassy of the United States of America in Beirut in collaboration with the Federal Bureau for Investigation (FBI) conducted a training on countering public corruption at the Internal Security Forces (ISF) academy in Aramoun. Twenty-four ISF members and four judges were able to complete the training and benefit from the knowledge of the FBI experts.

Since 2007, the U.S. Government, through INL funding, has invested approximately $197 million in training and equipment for the ISF that has helped to professionalize and modernize Lebanon’s police forces, increase the country’s security and stability, and promote the rule of law.
