U.S. Embassy Beirut is pleased to announce the opening of the Fulbright Foreign Student Program competition for 2025-2026.  The program, which covers a maximum of two academic years of graduate study in the United States beginning in August 2025, is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State through U.S. Embassy Beirut.

The grant includes roundtrip airfare between Lebanon and the United States, university tuition, books, health insurance, and lodging.  Expenses of Fulbright students’ dependents (spouses, children, parents, etc.) are not covered.

Please visit: https://apply.iie.org/ffsp2025/ to complete the online application and click here (151Kb) to learn more about the program eligibility requirements as well as the application instructions including the documents that need to be submitted along with the application.

Preference will be given to applicants who have not previously studied in the United States.  Fulbright students must return to Lebanon for at least two years upon completion of the program and will not be eligible for U.S. employment, immigration, or residency visas during that time period.  Fulbright students are immediately eligible to apply for student, tourist, and business visas to the U.S. after completing the Fulbright program.

Competition is merit-based and candidates from all backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Applicants will be considered without regard to race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, age, and/or disability.  Lebanese citizens and holders of the Special Travel Document for Palestinian Refugees issued by the Lebanese government are eligible to apply.
