Community Engagement and Exchange (CEE) Program

The U.S. Embassy in Beirut is pleased to announce the Community Engagement and Exchange (CEE) program.

The Community Engagement Exchange Program is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State with funding provided by the U.S. Government and supported in its implementation by IREX. CEE equips dedicated visionaries with the expertise, skills, and resources to develop multisector approaches and build healthy and engaged communities in over 100 countries.  The Community Engagement Exchange Program is a year-long program designed to enable civil society leaders to harness the power of networks, relationships, and information for the public good, specifically on issues related to civic dialogue, participatory governance, women and gender, sustainable development, and youth engagement.  CEE is for Lebanese citizens and long-term Palestinian residents in Lebanon who are between 20 and 28 years, proficient in English, and are working on a community engagement initiative in Lebanon either in a professional or volunteer capacity with a vision to pursue a career working to support civil society.  Citizens or permanent residents of the United States are ineligible to apply.  Click here to know more about the program including eligibility requirements.

The deadline to apply to this program is Friday January 14, 2022, (11:59 P.M. EST). Click here to apply to this program.

The U.S. Government pays for the participants’ expenses including roundtrip airfare, accommodation, and health insurance. Competition is merit-based, and applicants will be considered without regard to race, religion, sex, age, and/or physical impairment.
