Community Engagement and Exchange (CEE) Program

The U.S. Embassy in Beirut is pleased to announce the Community Engagement and Exchange (CEE) program.

CEE is a new civil society program sponsored by the U.S. Department of State’s Educational and Cultural Affairs Bureau and administered by IREX. CEE equips dedicated visionaries with the expertise, skills, and resources to develop multisector approaches and build healthy and engaged communities in over 100 countries. CEE is for Lebanese citizens and long-term Palestinian residents in Lebanon who are between 20 and 27 years, proficient in English and are working on a community engagement initiative in Lebanon either in a professional or volunteer capacity with a vision to pursue a career working to support civil society. Citizens or permanent residents of the United States are ineligible to apply.

The U.S. Government pays for the participants’ expenses including roundtrip airfare, accommodation and health insurance. Competition is merit-based and applicants from all backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
